PawfectPals

With as many furry friends in shelters and foster care waiting for their forever homes, we wanted to create a playful and engaging way to find a companion. As part of a final project for Grand Circus’ Full Stack Front-end JavaScript program, I helped design and develop PawfectPals, a web application built using React and hosted on Google Firebase.

Using the PetFinder API and our custom-built preference filtering, PawfectPals shows all the available pets in your area based on your preferences and location. Similar to the dating app, Tinder, get recommended “matches” to swipe through and either “like” or “dislike”. Favorites are added to your personal profile to review or adopt later.
